What is the PHEEF?
Celebrating 10 Years of Service...where every dollar counts!
The Pleasant Hill Elementary Education Foundation (PHEEF) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving the high quality of education our children deserve at Pleasant Hill Elementary.
Who are we?
The Foundation Board and committees are made up of PHE parents and is completely funded through parent donations & support. To learn more or get involved attend a meeting or contact a board member.
The Pleasant Hill Elementary Education Foundation (PHEEF) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving the high quality of education our children deserve at Pleasant Hill Elementary.
What do we do?
Our core purpose has been and still is to pay the salaries for our classroom aides to support our children and teachers, which otherwise are NOT funded by the school district. The Foundation funds the salaries of classroom aides for Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grades. Funds the our computer lab instructor which supports all grades. Most recently we are funding a portion of the salaries for the PE instructors K-3rd (2008-09 school year.), which otherwise would have cut due to current budget cuts. Every year the foundation funds MARE our marine science program for all grades. Also, new this year an after school Math Enrichment Program, 14 new computers for computer lab, & and maps and Bellworks text books.
How do we do it?
Donations, donations, donations! We couldn't do it without the support of our generous parents, the local community and PHE staff! The Foundation asks for a per child donation at the beginning of the school year, and relies upon funds raised through Spellathon, the Spring Gala, and eScrip contributions received throughout the year.
